Free Games

And while I'm on the subject of free stuff, I've found some more free games. Check out ArcadeTown for some great ones, including RumbleBall Reloaded and Clash N Slash.

FreeWare

There is a lot of great software out there that doesn't cost a cent. And FreewareFiles lists a lot of it.

Of couse you have to be careful -- sometimes you get what you pay for.

Last-minute eBay Bargains

Lastminute Auction grabs and lists eBay auctions that have less than 1 hour to go, and a current bid of $1 or less. You can do the same thing with the right eBay search, but what makes Lastminute Auction so good is they also list the shipping price.

That's where a lot of 'sweet deals' turn out to be not so sweet. Sure, it's great when you find a copy of Bobby McFerrin's Greatest Hits ending in 45 seconds, no bids, and a minimum bid of $0.01 -- but not if the seller wants $14.99 for shipping!

With lastminute-auction.com, you can see the item description, the minimum bid, the number of bids, the time left for the auction, and the shipping price. And the auctions are divided into categories to make it easy.

Try it out at http://lastminute-auction.com/. And good luck, bargain hunters!

Payments for August

I just realised that I haven't done any weekly payment updates in about a month. To be honest, there hasn't been much to report.

In the last two weeks of August, I was paid a total of 30 cents.

StormOfCash $0.10
SendMeCash $0.20
Total $0.30

Monthly Total $14.19

For the first two weeks of September, I've been paid:

Random-PTCs $2.23
Mezmerizing-Mails $0.25
HeavenlyEmail $3.00
Total $5.48

Everything good has already been invented....NOT!!!

I've been meaning to blog about this for a while now, but I only remember when I see the ad on TV, not when I'm actually sitting in front of the computer. I first saw the ad a few months ago, and after I stopped repeating 'That is so cool!', it made me realise once again that there are two kinds of people -- those who see a problem and bitch about it (that would be me) and those who actually do something to fix the problem.

So with that said, my hat's off to whoever came up with the Old El Paso Stand-n-Stuff taco shell. Fucking. Brilliant.

Not quite in the 'Now Why Didn't I Think of That?' category, but definitely in the 'I Never Thought of It, and Didn't Know I Wanted It, but I WANT IT!' category is the Egg & Muffin Toaster. Long story short -- make your own homemade Egg McMuffin in less than 4 minutes. Egg, meat, cheese, bread, whatever...it all finishes at the same time. How good is that?

(Thanks for the headsup, Gizmag!)

Simply Audiobooks -- Like Netflix

I came across a link to SimplyAudiobooks.com today and thought I'd pass it along. Basically, it's like Netflix, but for audiobooks. You pay a monthly membership fee and borrow audiobooks, then send them back and get more. Excellent value if you're a big audiobook listener. With around 6,000 titles, they've got plenty to choose from, and the fees start from $24.95 if you pay month-to-month, or $19.95 if you pay for a whole year in advance.
